My CliftonStrengths profile is the backbone of how I work with leaders, teams and organizations. It captures my natural patterns under pressure, in growth phases, in moments that require decisions, clarity, energy, structure, and trust. I bring drive and pace to what matters, then turn it into an executable path. I connect dots across people, priorities, and constraints, create order without bureaucracy, and move from idea to action with a bias for outcomes. Curiosity keeps me sharp, learning keeps me relevant, responsibility keeps my standards high. In coaching and mentoring, these strengths translate into honest reflection, sharp questions, practical frameworks, and real progress. In interim leadership, they show up as fast alignment, clean governance, disciplined delivery, and teams that feel empowered, not managed. If you are looking for a partner who combines energy with structure, ambition with realism, and humanity with performance, you will feel at home in how I work.

Some personal questions answered

Please introduce yourself briefly.
I have more than twenty-five years of international leadership experience and live near Basel in Switzerland. My career has always been built where business and technology meet, and I have led large organizations across Europe, India and the Americas. Over time I have been responsible for businesses in the hundreds of millions with thousands of people across different countries. My focus has always been on creating growth, transformation and long-lasting value. What people recognize in me is the ability to combine vision with execution, strategy with pragmatism, and leadership with authenticity.

For which topics are you usually called? Where lies your strength?
Organizations usually approach me when they want to accelerate growth, handle complex challenges or move through demanding transitions. My strengths are in leading strategic growth initiatives from market entry to large-scale expansion, driving the adoption of digital, data and artificial intelligence so that it creates measurable business value, and building high-performing teams across cultures with a clear sense of purpose. I have often been asked to manage large transformations such as restructuring, post-merger integration or repositioning in competitive markets. I also act as a sparring partner to boards and executive teams, bringing an outside perspective with entrepreneurial energy.

Having worked in Switzerland, India, the Americas and across Europe, I combine a global outlook with Swiss values of trust, reliability and long-term thinking.

Do you have a ritual that helps you stay focused, even in demanding projects?
Yes. Endurance sports, especially cycling, give me balance and clarity. Long rides allow me to reflect and recharge while at the same time strengthening resilience. On a daily level, I set the course with three things that must be achieved no matter what. Even when the day brings surprises and uncertainties, these priorities keep me focused and ensure that progress is made. It is a simple but powerful discipline that creates consistency and trust in delivery.

Describe your leadership style in three to five words.
Visionary. Authentic. Inspiring. Empowering. Resilient.

Is there a book, artwork or experience that inspired or even changed your perspective on work?
Simon Sinek’s Start with Why deepened my belief in purpose-driven leadership, while Stephen Covey’s Trust and Inspireinfluenced the way I empower teams with trust and creativity instead of command and control. Beyond books, some of the most formative experiences were leading global transitions with thousands of people. These moments taught me that true leadership is always about people, trust and shared ambition. And of course all the John Kotter books.

What makes a good Interim Manager in your eyes?
Authenticity and courage. An interim manager is not only there to fill a gap but to create momentum. That means asking the difficult questions, addressing what others only think and building a bridge between vision and reality. I believe in radical honesty, empathy and clarity, because only when root causes are addressed can something truly sustainable be built.

What sets your heart on fire?
My family, above all my wife and my son, who are my anchor and inspiration.
Ambition, because I love setting bold goals and achieving them together with teams.
Health and energy, as I believe leaders must manage their own strength to inspire others.
And sports, especially cycling across countries, which has taught me focus, discipline and resilience.

Bonus question: What are your Clifton Strengths and how do they help you lead?
My top ten strengths are Achiever, Arranger, Learner, Responsibility, Activator, Relator, Strategic, Maximizer, Individualization and Self-Assurance. They describe me well: I build energy through achievement, connect people and ideas, and turn vision into practical action. These strengths allow me to inspire teams, unlock their own talents and create lasting results.
